Okay...time for some quiet...time for some rest...time not to think about the fact that my youngest is on her way to Washington D.C. and my oldest is now in his last driver's ed. class.
I was up until 4 a.m. making sure everything was done, everything was packed and my son was busy downloading music onto my daughter's MP3 player for her. Gameboy's were charging, DVD player was charging.

And the thing that we worked on the MOST...swaps. Those things that each GS makes to exchange with girls from other troops. The leader suggested we make 100. Bethany and I decided to make buckeye leaves with the buckeye nut attached. The swap was supposed to represent where you are from and your troop. Ohio State Buckeyes! And the troop belongs to the Buckeye Trails Council.
This involved making a leaf pattern, tracing unto green foam sheets, cutting out. Dipping little wooden balls into brown paint and leaving a small area unpainted. Once those dry then you hot glue them to the leaves. You have to attache a card to it with your name, troop number and area of the country that you are from. We were going to pin them on. But I told Bethany after all that work that we should just put a drop of glue in the back of the leaves and attach the card that way. She hugged me and said, "Oh, Bless YOU!"

I told her that I love her very much...but if she brings even one of those buckeye swaps back home...I would have to disown her.

You have NO idea how much work 100 of those things is!
Well, while I have a few hours to myself...I am going to go feed Scrawny and Lettuce and then have a cup o' java...and revel in the silence.
